Formal opportunities for scientific and professional visits exist across a wide range of disciplines at UCAR as well as NSF NCAR.
The Constellation Observing System for Meteorology, Ionosphere, and Climate (COSMIC) program hosts U.S. and international visitors on topics relevant to research and applications in radio occultation and other methods that harness the GPS/Global Navigation Satellite System.
UCAR's Cooperative Programs for the Advancement of Earth System Science (CPAESS) administers a number of scientific visitor programs, fellowships, and training opportunities on behalf of other scientific institutions.
