We give Earth system science a voice in Washington, and we want to make sure that voice represents the community.
The UASC committee serves as a conduit between UCAR and our university members on public policy issues affecting the health of the Earth system sciences. UASC helps set UCAR's public policy priorities.
Goals
- Advocate for the atmospheric and related Earth system sciences and demonstrate their value
- Ensure that UCAR's government relations accurately reflect the interests of the community
- Facilitate communication on public policy issues among the members, UCAR leadership, and the community
