More Resources for Your Quest
At NCAR/UCAR
Advanced Study Program
(ASP)
sponsors recent Ph.D. scientists and students in Ph.D. programs,
bringing them to NCAR to expand their own studies and enrich the
center's research. ASP also offers seminars, workshops, and colloquia
on areas of particular importance to the atmospheric sciences.
ASP
Graduate Visitor Program
brings graduate students to NCAR for 3 to 12-month collaborative
visits with the endorsement of their thesis advisors and in pursuit
of their thesis research
ASP
Postdoctoral Fellowships
SOARS: Significant
Opportunities in Atmospheric Research & Science
provides paid research internships at NCAR and other laboratories,
community building, and mentoring during the last two years of undergraduate
and first two years of graduate school with an emphasis on students
from underrepresented groups exploring a career in the atmospheric
sciences or a related field.

UCAR Member and Affiliate Universities
UCAR
Member Universities are North American universities
with doctoral programs in the atmospheric, oceanic, and related
sciences.
The
Academic Affiliates Program is comprised of colleges
and universities which grant Bachelors' and/or Masters' degrees
in the atmospheric and related sciences, and was developed to
provide the opportunity for these institutions to participate
in the UCAR community's scientific and educational activities.
The
International Affiliates Program was developed to
enhance communications about programs, resources, and strengths
of atmospheric science and related programs world wide, and to
create a collegial environment supportive of cooperation and
understanding.
