You won't have to stand in line behind 200 broadcast meteorologists
for lunch in the Mesa Lab cafeteria this Friday, but you may notice a
minimum of open seating after the noon hour. That's because the AMS
Broadcast Meteorology Conference attendees are in town and visiting
NOAA and NCAR that day, with lunch for all 200 being served outside at
12:15 near the NCAR fountain. Many a broadcaster is likely to venture
back inside in search of a seat away from the hot summer sun, so be
forewarned. If you're not the crowd type or if you want to ensure
your usual dining table remains yours, ARRIVE EARLY FOR LUNCH ON
FIRDAY! Otherwise, you run the risk of not only loosing your usual
table, but a seat at any table for that matter. Thank you for your
hospitality and understanding as we put our best foot forward for our
AMS colleagues.
