The National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) Early Career
Scientists Assembly (ECSA) is pleased to announce this year's Junior
Faculty Forum, sponsored by the NCAR Advanced Study Program (ASP).
This year's topics are
--Geophysical and statistical challenges in detection/attribution of
regional climate change
--Coupling terrestrial and atmospheric water dynamics to improve
predictability in a changing environment.
The Junior Faculty Forum will take place 9-11 July 2007 at NCAR in
Boulder, Colorado. The objective is to bring together junior faculty
and early career NCAR scientists (ECSA members) to discuss selected
topics in the geosciences. This forum is open to nontenured faculty at
U.S. universities, with preference given to those within five years of
their first professorial academic appointment. In addition to
promoting scientific discussion, an intended goal of the forum is to
encourage development of professional relationships between members of
the ECSA and UCAR institutions. A meeting report session will
immediately follow the close of the meeting on the afternoon of July
11th. Some travel support will be available for participants.
Application deadline: 20 April
