The Office of General Counsel, in collaboration with Logistics
Operations, will offer a brown bag entitled, "Understanding Your
Export Compliance Obligations - Using the OGC and Logistics for Help"
on the following two dates in March:
March 16 11:30 to 12:30 in FL-2, Room 1001
March 17 11:30 to 12:30 in the Mesa Lab Main Seminar Room
Your actions may be regulated by contract as well as U.S. export
control laws and regulations, if you are a UCAR employee that intends
to (a) ship technology, equipment or software outside the United
States; or (b) disclose technology or software to a foreign national,
whether or not that individual is a UCAR employee or visiting
scientist.
Failure to comply with U.S. export control laws can subject violators
to heavy fines and possible imprisonment. Attend this brown bag
presentation to understand what you need to do to avoid legal
exposure and to hear how the Office of General Counsel and Logistics
Operations can help you meet your export compliance obligations.
