Dear UCAR Staff:
Napoleon Hendrix III, Manager of Donor Relations at the Red Cross sent
us a nice letter thanking UCAR for the $50,000 gift given for the
victims of the Katrina Hurricane. This was for the UCAR matching
contribution. Employees actually contributed more than $50,000 for a
total of over $100,000 being sent to the Red Cross from UCAR employees
and UCAR. The Red Cross should acknowledge employees’ contributions
individually. However, as the letter notes, they have received an
enormous amount of contributions; acknowledgement of individual
contributions may be delayed.

have been and many still are devastated by Katrina.
