EXPLORE the Atmospheric Sciences

The National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) will host Super Science Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on October 25, 2003. Funded by Friends of UCAR and a grant from the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD), Super Science Saturday is a day of activities designed to promote public science literacy and enrich the science experiences of area students and teachers.

The theme for this year is “High Flying Science” in honor of the Centennial of Flight. Some featured events include our demonstration showcase starring NCAR scientists, hands-on activity tables from Wild Bear Center for Nature Discovery, CU Science Discovery, CSU CloudSat/GLOBE, NASA Space Foundation, and Rocky Mountain Raptor Program.

Check for surprise activities and the full event schedule at the SSS web site. NCAR’s exhibits, art galleries, and Science Store will be open to the public as usual. For more information, contact NCAR Outreach at (303) 497-1185 or lcarbone@ucar.edu.
