In February, Junior Scientist members of Friends of UCAR will have an opportunity to visit NCAR’s new Visualization Laboratory. The Viz Lab is not open to the public, so this is a rare chance to see three-dimensional computer models including cyclones, wildfires, turbulence, and developing storm fronts. Each Junior Scientist will wear 3-D glasses to see the computer models on a large screen. After the demo, a question and answer session will follow with a snack for the students.

Students of any age should enjoy this program. To participate, you need to be a Junior Scientist member of the Friends of UCAR. Junior Scientist (student) membership is $15.00. A family membership of $50.00 includes two student memberships. All contributions are tax deductible and support local education programs at NCAR.
