Post-doc position in Climate Science at PNNL. (Job ID:  117483)

The Climate Physics Group of the Atmospheric Science and Global Change  Division at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland Washington seeks a few Post Doctoral Researchers to participate  in research involving the role of aerosols and clouds on climate. The  group is involved in the development and use of climate system  models. Research activities will involve some combination of improving  the representation of component processes important to aerosols and  clouds for climate models, and the application of climate models as a  tool for understanding important climate change problems.

Our group is involved in research on the many aspects of aerosols and  clouds in the atmosphere, and how aerosols influence and are  influenced by clouds.

We have active projects in understanding the role of aerosols and  clouds in climate, in geoengineering, and in assessments of how  processes represented by detailed models (process, high resolution  cloud and regional models) can be used to improve global climate  models. We are looking for people to help us in these projects. Our  group also interacts with other leading climate science activities  nationally and internationally and these positions can lead to high  visibility and leadership in the research community.
