Graduate Training Program in Atmospheric Aerosols and Health

New Atmospheric Aerosols and Health (AAH) program at UC Davis and UC Merced offers comprehensive approach to the study of Air Quality Issues for Graduate Students.

The goal of the California Toxic Substances Research & Teaching Program-funded AAH Program is to facilitate the focused, disciplinary research training of graduate students as well as provide a broad, multidisciplinary exposure to air quality issues.

The program is looking for graduate students to apply to UC Davis and UC Merced who are interested in air quality and its effects on health.  Students wishing to study in any discipline - including those in the social, physical, and biological sciences as well as in policy and engineering - are eligible to apply.

Up to two years of funding (including a salary of approx. $21,000 per year) is available on a competitive basis for Ph.D. students in the program. Students who do not qualify for (or who do not need funding) are also welcome to participate in the educational components of the program. More information, as well as a downloadable application, is available on the AAH Web site: http://aah.ucdavis.edu.
