Register now for Unidata Software Training Workshop
Unidata's 2007 Software Training Workshop sessions will be held from 20 July to 10 August in Boulder. These workshops are developed and presented by the software developers and support staff for each package, so users can be sure to get their questions answered. The eight consecutive sessions, which each run from one to four days long, are as follows:

  • netCDF for Developers (20 July)
  • GEMPAK (23-25 July)
  • LDM (26-27 July)
  • THREDDS Data Server Administration (30-31 July)
  • Introductory IDV (1-2 August)
  • Advanced IDV (3-4 August)
  • netCDF Java (6 August)
  • McIDAS (7-10 August)

There is a $50 registration fee per session. Participants must cover their own travel, food, and lodging expenses. For more details and to register, please see the URL below.

New COMET publications: microwave remote sensing

  • Microwave Remote Sensing: Microwave Resources
    This module introduces the concepts and principles that underlie space-based microwave remote sensing and reviews background information on polar-orbiting satellites. It also reviews coverage, orbits, and data latency issues of current operational and selected research satellites and notes improvements expected in the NPP and NPOESS era.
