My background
I joined UCAR in spring of 2003, after completing a master's degree in environmental journalism at CU-Boulder. I have a bachelor's degree in anthropology/sociology from Carleton College and also studied in Costa Rica. In the past, I've worked as a newspaper reporter, high school math teacher, English teacher in Eastern Europe, wilderness ranger, wildlands firefighter, biological technician, archaeologist, and other random occupations. I enjoy skiing, climbing, biking, and backpacking.
