What I do
- Photography for UCAR Communications publications and the Digital Image Library
- Develop and maintain online digital image libraries for video
and still imagery
- Design new web pages for the UCAR umbrella web site
- Prepare Staff Notes Monthly, UCAR Quarterly, and other Communications Office products for the Web
- Prepare news releases for the Web
- Provide technical support and system administration for the Communications staff
My background
I started at NCAR in 1986 as a darkroom technician for the High Altitude Observatory and in 1991 became a staff photographer with NCAR. I took a three year reprieve from being on staff and came back in April 2002. I received my bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado with a double major in Biology and Fine Arts. I have always had an interest in combining art with science.
