Get Your Kicks on Route 66 - Art show in the Foothills Library
Thu, 12 Nov 2009
Now showing in the NCAR Library are works by two NCAR staff members, Carlye Calvin and Jamaica Jones.
Carlye, the UCAR photographer, is best known for her images of storms, clouds, and scientists roaming unfriendly terrain. In this new show, she shows off a more colorful side with nostalgic images
taken along Route 66.
Complimenting the photographs is a collection of jewelry by Jamaica Jones, Special Projects Librarian. Once a professional jewelry designer, Jamaica creates delicate works from vintage glass, vintage lucite, crystal and sparkling gems.
