Dear Trustees, Members, Academic Affiliates, URC, and guests,

Welcome to the website for the October 2007 UCAR Meetings!   

In addition to the regular business and updates, this year’s Annual Meeting will focus on the following six important areas for our science, and the roles that UCAR and the university research community can play together in taking these topics to their next level:

• Earth System Modeling
• NCAR - Wyoming Data Center
• Atmospheric Observing Systems in the U.S.:
  Airborne and Ground-based Remote Sensing Capabilities and Opportunities
• Just do it: community tools to improve diversity in the geosciences
• Education
• Community Library

Please register for one of these sessions, and bring your own initiatives and ideas so we can have a rich and productive interaction.  

This year we again invite an early career faculty member from each member and affiliate to attend the meetings—to learn more about NCAR and UCAR, and to give us the benefit of their perspective as the future leaders of our science.
