UCAR Members' Meeting Summary
Many thanks to those of you
who attended the UCAR meetings two weeks ago in Boulder. It
was a very full, productive and rewarding week for us. I very
much appreciate the number of early career faculty members
who attended and the number of Member and Affiliate Reps who
took the time to travel here.
The break-out session discussions on the implementation of the new UCAR Strategic
Plan were especially productive. We are working through all of the ideas generated
from those sessions, and I am looking forward to working more closely with many
of you in coming years as we move ahead with the Strategic Plan implementation.

topics, or about any questions you have about UCAR in general.

The Members approved the University of Stony Brook -
SUNY for Membership in UCAR, bringing the number of UCAR
Members to 70. It renewed Membership of the following
institutions for regular eight year terms
- University at Albany
- SUNY Harvard University
- University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
- Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UCSD
- University of Toronto
The Membership Committee also recommended that the College
of Charleston Academic Affiliate membership be renewed
for the regular eight year term.
