Dear Trustees, Members Reps and Affiliates and their substitutes, and the URC, Welcome to the website for the 2005 Annual Members’ Meeting. We’re looking forward to what promises to be a full, interesting, and enjoyable three days of activities. In addition to the business that you regularly conduct, this year’s meeting will provide an opportunity for you to “kick the tires” at UCAR, NCAR and UOP. We’ve planned for tours on the morning before the meeting begins, and an Open House Poster Session covering many NCAR and UOP programs and UCAR services as part of the Members Meeting Forum. The emphasis for the posters will be on increased collaborations to address national needs, with the intention of creating a dialogue with you, the meeting participants, to address the following:
We hope for rich interactions and some interesting ideas to come out of it for all of us. During the next year, we will begin writing a new UCAR Strategic Plan and I hope that some of our discussions this year will inform that document. During these unsettled times, it is reassuring that each fall brings the Members, Affiliates and URC to Boulder to address interesting issues for our community. I look forward to seeing all of you next month.
