It’s time once again to ask for nominations to the UCAR Board of Trustees, the UCAR President’s Advisory Committee on University Relations (PACUR), the Membership, and the Nominating committees.
Below you will find the form to use to send us your nominations. We are asking for your help in nominating Trustees with broad science administration experience, and in submitting names of potential committee members who are interested in participating in UCAR governance and membership activities.
The form provides links to information about each committee, its requirements and time commitments.
The Nominating Committee will meet in June to consider your nominations and to put together the slates for election at the Fall 2013 meeting in Boulder (October 8-9).

AND MEMBERS' COMMITTEES

This form provides space for you to nominate your colleagues for UCAR Trustee and for Member Committee positions for election at the 2013 Annual UCAR Members Meeting in October.
- Write your suggestions for nominees below and click the submit button.
- Please add the nominee’s university affiliation and professional website address.
- You can add names as often as you like.
BOARD OF TRUSTEES
At the October 2013 Annual Meeting, there will there will be four three-year Institutional Trustee positions to be filled.
Institutional Trustees Dennis Hartmann, Steve Ackerman and Kerry Cook, are completing their second 3-year terms and are not eligible to run again, Amy Clement is completing her first 3-year term, but is not seeking a second term on the board.
Candidates for Institutional Trustees must be from Member institutions, but need not be a Member's Representative. The UCAR Bylaws do not permit two or more Institutional Trustees from the same institution to serve on the Board concurrently. A current list of Trustees can be found here.
At the October 2013 Annual Meeting, there will there will be two three-year Trustee-at-Large positions to be filled.
Trustees-at-large Scott Sternberg and Molly Macauley are completing their first 3-year terms and are eligible to be nominated again. Candidates for Trustee-at-Large are normally selected from the private or public sectors. They may be from Member or Affiliate institutions, but may not be Member’s Representatives.

Candidates for Trustee-at-Large may not be Member’s Representatives but may be from Member institutions, as well as from any other institution in the private or public sectors.
Members' committees participate in several important aspects of UCAR's program including, for example, advising the President on matters of interest to the consortium, fostering good relationships with the universities, reviewing new and renewal membership and affiliate applications, participating in the NSF Reviews of NCAR, and determining the slate for trustee and committee elections. In order to assure continuity in committee activities from one year to the next, proposed slates normally include one or more of the present committee members.
