Welcome to the EAC website

The Employee Activities Committee (EAC) is a group of UCAR/NCAR/UOP volunteers who provide a range of services and activities to staff members and their families, including:

Planning and promoting staff events and activities, which facilitate staff interaction and enhance and sustain employee morale.

	Spring Fling	Held at the Center Green location in May, this event could include a judged Lip Synch contest, talent contest, dancing, a live band, food, and beverages. More information and flier
	Up-the-Hill Race	This is held at the Mesa Lab in August. Events include an individual bike race, individual foot race, and a team relay up Table Mesa Road. Food, fun, drink, and music await everyone at the top.
	Children's Holiday Party Flier	This occurs in the beginning of December at the Center Green auditorium and lobby. Children enjoy arts and crafts, making ornaments, dreidel games, and holiday snacks. Santa is there to take pictures with your child. Children 12 and under receive a gift!
	Awards Ceremony & Holiday Party Flier	This is the final big EAC event of the year. It is held mid-December at the Center Green auditorium and is attended by employees of UCAR, NCAR, and UOP. Outstanding Accomplishment Awards are presented and the ceremony is followed by holiday music, food, and drinks.
	Appreciation Dinner Party	This event is to promote EAC activities and recognize those special individuals who have volunteered their time to EAC events. This fun and relaxing party, normally scheduled in March or April, features member and volunteer camaraderie, good food, drinks, and light entertainment.
	Craft and Science Store Book Fair	Staff members and the NCAR Science Store display and sell their creations and products. The event launches the winter holiday season and is scheduled in early November at the Center Green auditorium.

Providing UCAR/NCAR/UOP staff and families access to products and services at discounted rates
Arranging charitable and community service activities
