22nd Annual Up-the-Hill Races and Party
Friday,
September 7, 2001 at the Mesa Lab.
This year's theme honored the 75th anniversary of the famous 
highway. The baton was a little
red wagon. Everyone
grabbed their "station" wagons and headed 
up
the hill for a road trip. At the stations along the way, racers picked up a
pillow, a
suitcase, a
map and a
beverage.
Pre-race activities included clearing the path for fire hazards,and discussing last minute details. Nothing started until safety gave it a final Okay!
UTH events started with the Bike Race

and
prizes 
were
given away to those who found shoes
from the "Treasure Hunt".
The live band "Mother Lode" played their wonderful tunes.
A good time was enjoyed by many!
The party ended with relay results and
the awards ceremony!
