Quick How-To

• Join the "UCAR" infrastructure wireless network
• Visit http://wireless.ucar.edu/ (or http://raf.wireless.ucar.edu/ if at RAF)
• Log in using the seminar/guest account given you by your sponsor or seminar organizer.

Shared Network

A little politeness goes a long way toward making things work well for everyone.

• Please refrain from applications that use a large amount of the limited wireless bandwidth (e.g. P2P file sharing, video/audio streams).
• Please ensure your system is patched, is free of spyware, and has current anti-virus software/signatures (compromised systems can really chew up bandwidth).

Problem Reports

• Your sponsor is your point of contact if you have problems. They know who to call and will make the calls for you.
• Large seminars and conferences should have on-site or on-call help desk staff to assist you directly.
