As previously announced, access to all NCAR and UCAR sites will be limited over New Year's weekend. Our preference is that staff not come in from the close of business on Thursday, December 30, until Monday morning, January 3. If you feel that it is essential for you to be at work over the weekend, please contact your NCAR division or UOP program director, or, for corporate staff, the relevant UCAR vice president. Only staff whose access has been approved in advance will be allowed into the buildings. Entry into all buildings will be through the main doors only. Security officers may greet you and ask you to show picture identification. No one will be allowed to enter without being on the approved list and providing some form of picture ID. We understand that this may be an inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation. Public Closures The Mesa Laboratory will be closed to the public from 5:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30, until 8:00 a.m. Monday, January 3. The road to the top of the NCAR Mesa and the parking lot will be closed to the public over New Year's Eve, from 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 31, until 8:00 a.m. Saturday, January 1.

Carolyn Bradley's oil painting studies of Andalusia, Spain will be exhibited in the ML second floor gallery from 2 to 29 December. Brad- ley's work captures the charm and essence of southern Spanish life. Boulder artist, Joseph Cavanaugh, will display his relief sculptures in the ML cafeteria from 2 December through 30 January. Cavanaugh uses dry-brush acrylic on concrete to create contrast between art and reality. The ML show features geometeric, floral pieces.
