The Library has completed its in-depth evaluation of NCAR/UCAR journals, including our recent poll of staff to learn which journals they use. From our research we have derived a list of journals which, due to lack of use, are candidates for cancellation. The list can be seen on the Web at http://www.dir.ucar.edu/iss/lib/journals.html. We are asking NCAR/UCAR staff to help us with this phase in the evaluation process by reviewing the list of journals identified for cancellation. If you note a title you wish the Library to keep, please send the title with the reason it should not be cancelled to Gayl Gray. We need your response by Thursday, August 12,1999. Thanks.
For more information, contact Gayl Gray at 1183, gayl@ucar.edu. Or see

The EAC sponsored internet service provider, Stonehenge Internet Communications, has been purchased by Rocky Mountain Internet (RMI). At this point I have no idea if RMI is honoring the discount program. I have heard news to the contrary. Since RMI is not run by the same people as Stonehenge, nor use the same support personnell, I can no longer offer my personal endorsement.

Ever wonder what the NCAR warehouse looks like? Got a stereotype in mind? Well, now's your chance to see! On Wednesday July 28th from 1:00 - 3:00 pm, "SAM's" will be open for your viewing and reviewing. Refreshments will be served. For those interested, there will be shuttle service available from FL and ML departing at 1:05 and 2:05 pm. There is no return service. Just kidding! This is also an opportunity. There are a number of items that the owner is unknown and that need to go to a good home. If you are interested in attending and/or interested in the shuttles please contact myself or Chris Knoetgen (x1922).
For more information, contact Kerry Slaven at 1151, slaven@ucar.edu.
