Art judging set for 27 August

---

Artists will be selected for one-person shows at the ML on Wednesday,
27 August. Those interested in submitting their work can register for
the judging by calling Nita Razo X8606 or Linda Carbone X8612. The
deadline for registration is 20 August. There is no registration fee.
Registration will be limited, if necessary.

Artists selected in this round of judging will display their work
October 1997 through March 1998 in the Mesa Laboratory's second-floor
gallery (one-month shows) or cafeteria (two-month shows). Judging will
be based on submission of three representative samples of the artist's
work. Space limits the NCAR Community Art Program exhibits to pieces
that can be hung.

Bowling League begins September 9

---

The NCAR Mixed Bowling League invites you to join us Tuesday nights for
our 1997-98 season. Scores are handicapped, so all levels of bowlers
are competing on an equal basis for modest cash prizes. The 28-week
season begins on September 9, with an organizational meeting scheduled
for September 2 at 7:00 pm at the Broomfield Family Fun Center on
Nickel Street (just north of Target in Broomfield). The cost is $10.00
per week and the 4-person team must include both men and women, 18
years and over. If you don't have a team, we'll try to build one for
you. Family and friends are welcome. The EAC will reimburse the
initial sanction fees of all UCAR/NCAR/UOP employees and immediate
family members.
