Paste the text of your announcement into the body of your email message, rather than appended as an attachment or enclosure. ************************************************************************ WORKPLACE VIOLENCE WORKSHOP with Dr. John Nicoletti Nicoletti & Associates Thursday, 27 February 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. -- FL2-Auditorium 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. -- ML-Main Seminar Room This workshop provides participants with practical tools for the identification and early intervention of potentially disruptive behaviors due to personal or work-related changes. Current indicators and assessment factors utilized in predicting violence are presented. The session focuses on techniques for diffusing rising tensions in the workplace. Dr. Nicoletti specializes in the areas of police psychology, violence assessment and prevention, threat analysis and deescalation of force, psychology of motivation, trauma interventions and stress management. He works with private corporations, municipalities, state and federal law enforcement agencies and fire departments. Discussion topics include: Scope of the problem Causes of work-related violence Who are the perpetrators? Potential signs and signals of impending violence Inoculating against violence--management and security considerations Dealing with the aftermath of work-related violence No pre-registration is required.
