Participants battled not only the hill but also the summer heat with the mercury hovering around 90°F during the event.

Women with kaleidoscope eyes. Men with blonde wigs. Baroclinically Buoyant Amateurs kicking up their heels. Gaggles of scientists bearing torches and peace signs. An unnaturally predictive weatherman. It all added up to a great lip sync competition.
