| There's a familiar entity hiding in this alphabet soup. Look closely and you'll find--row by row, starting at the top--"RESEARCH," "APPLICATIONS," "PROGRAM," and "GO RAP GO RAP!". The RAP relay team acquitted themselves well at the 20th annual up-the-hill races on 10 September. Boosted by 40 runners--over a third of the division--RAP's team placed third overall. Although no RAPper claims ownership for the T-shirt spellout idea, all agree it was an idea that grew as the number of participants grew. "When Stephanie Chen supplied us with the electrical tape, there were no more excuses!" says Becky Ruttenberg. Becky's report on the races can be found in this issue. (Photo by Carlye Calvin.) |
