Here are two clarifications to the article "Q&A: The budget scene and UCAR/NCAR/UOP growth," which appeared in the February issue of Staff Notes Monthly and
on the Web.
In the sidebar "Got a question?" on page 1, Archives/Records Management was omitted from the list of functions within Information Support Services.
Decadal percentages of growth for NCAR, UOP, and UCAR corporate management/other functions were listed on page 1. Also listed were the derived annual averages, computed by dividing the decadal percentages by ten. The annual figures also can be computed by assuming compounded growth, which yields slightly lower numbers (at right). The relative standings among the three growth rates are the same for either technique.
