Mitchell Lane resembled
Mitchell Lake on the morning of 17 May. Over 10 centimeters of rain deluged
Boulder, causing creeks to rise and the drainage system on Mitchell Lane to
overflow. Water up to a meter deep blocked the only access to FL, forcing
closure of the campus that morning and, as the rains continued, all UCAR
