Staff Notes Switch Just around the Corner

Next week marks the final issue of Staff Notes in its current form.  
Beginning 13 October is This Week at UCAR, an e-mail service providing 
all staff with announcements, menu, visitors, calendar, and job openings.  
Staff who cannot receive e-mail should contact Milli Butterworth in 
UCAR Communications, ext. 8601, to get on a print mailing list, unless 
we have already contacted you.  The contents of This Week at UCAR will 
be posted on Gopher and the World Wide Web (accessible via Mosaic).  
Features, photos, and profiles will appear in Staff Notes Monthly, which 
will be distributed in print to all staff beginning in mid- to late 
November.  It also will be available through Gopher and the Web.

Readers outside UCAR will be served by UCARline, a weekly e-mail 
service providing material from This Week at UCAR as well as facility 
use deadlines and other items of interest to the community at large.  To 
subscribe, send a message to majordomo@ucar.edu with the words 
subscribe ucarline in the message body.  External readers may also 
receive Staff Notes Monthly or weekly job openings in print by 
contacting UCAR Communications.  Those external readers who now 
receive Staff Notes by e-mail will automatically be subscribed to 
UCARline.  For more details on these and other changes, please see last
