RAP weather forecasters aren’t the only staffers with a connection to the Olympics: Mari Bradley, the new manager of events services, worked for seven years planning meetings for the Atlanta Olympic Organizing Committee. Since joining UCAR last spring, she now oversees 17 staffers who run three cafeterias, coordinate numerous luncheons and receptions, and handle the room reservation system. “I have a great, hardworking staff, and they’ve made my transition easy,” she says. “I get good support.” Mari hopes to streamline the events services department, installing a new database system to manage catering requests.
