UCAR/NCAR leads Boulders Bike-to-Work Day

Helping to lead the way toward cleaner air, UCAR
took first place among large organizations in Boulders annual
Bike-to-Work Day in June, based on the high number of staffers
who used alternative transportation to get to the office. Moreover,
Team UCAR/NCAR won the corporate challenge division of the Coal
Miners Classic bicycle race, which capped Bike-to-Work activities.

it should be noted, sprinted around StorageTeks final rider
in the last 100 meters in a dramatic finish.) ESIGs Jeremy
Hackney (right), who coached the team, says: Though many
people biked up the mesa on Bike-to-Work Day, the Transportation
Alternative Programs shuttle services and the bus pass program
are at the core of UCARs success at reducing drive-alone
commute trips.
