Scott Ellis saw this immature red-tailed hawk behind the
storage sheds east of the basketball court near FL1 in October.
"I noticed the hawk had been around for several days, so I
decided to bring my camera to work," he recalls. "I got lucky."
An associate scientist in ATD who works with ground-based radar
systems, Scott has enjoyed photography since shooting for his
high school newspaper. He took this picture using a Nikon N60
with a 300-millimeter lens and Kodak print film.
