New and improved: NCAR Graphics Version 3.2

NCAR Graphics version 3.2 has just been released. It is NCARŐs latest 
scientific visualization software.  It offers many new functions, plus 
improvements in usability and output quality.  New applications work 
with raster files.  There are now C language bindings for all user entry 
points in the package.  Computer graphics metafile viewing and output 
tools have been improved.  Many new Fortran examples have been 
included, and C examples are now provided also.  Full binaries are being 
distributed for the first time, and new distribution media (CD-ROM and 
8-mm tape) are available.  The improved installation script is more 
flexible than past versions.  New installation tools help customers 
smoothly upgrade to new versions on their local systems.  Directories of 
prototype and unsupported software are also included.  Finally, all user 
documentation has been completely redesigned.  

Version 3.2 is designed for installation on UNIX-based computer 
systems, but many customers port the software to other systems.  
Helpful hints for doing this are included with the package.  NCAR 
Graphics is sold to nonprofit and for-profit groups.  For details about
