New due dates for applications to use observing facilities 15 June date two months earlier than announced The due dates for requests to use NSF-sponsored lower atmospheric observing facilities have changed to correspond to those for associated science proposals. The facilities involved include those at NCAR, Colorado State University, South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, and the University of Wyoming. With the change, the NSF Observing Facilities Advisory Panel (OFAP) will be able to consider facility allocations in tandem with NSF peer review of the associated science proposals. The new due dates will take effect for requests to be reviewed by the OFAP in October. Facility requests are now due on 15 June, two months earlier than announced in the last issue of this newsletter. The deadline of 15 February for requests to be reviewed at the May OFAP meeting is unchanged. Detailed information about where to send facilities requests, as well as other information about NCAR observing facilities, is available on the Internet in the Observing Facilities Gopher, through the NCAR Gopher.
