NCAR Media Catalog is now on line

The NCAR Digital Media Catalog is now available on the World Wide Web. More than a thousand of NCAR's best slides, prints, and film and video footage of solar and weather phenomena and related topics can be previewed in full color at http://www.ucar.edu/DMC/DMCHome.html. Videos include El Nino, which provides animated sequences of the Southern Oscillation. The 45-minute Stock Weather Footage Reel #1 contains a variety of footage ranging from severe weather conditions to the delicate formation of a snowflake. The six-minute video, Introducing the National Center for Atmospheric Research, gives an overview of NCAR and atmospheric research in general. For educators, there are slide sets on clouds, thunderstorms, and the sun with suggestions for classroom use.
