Advice for practicing English:

á        Hold a feather in front of your lips and watch your breath move it when you pronounce the fricative sounds b, p, f, v, th, s, z, ch, zh and h.

á        Hold two fingers against your throat to feel the vibration of your vocal cords when you pronounce the voiced sounds b, d, dg (as in bridge), g, j, l, m, n, ng (as in ring), r, th (as in those, not as in this), v, w, z and zh.

á        Hold a small mirror in front of your lips to see if you articulate words in the same manner as modeled in the film.

á        Hold a small curved plastic pipe as long as the distance between your mouth and your ear as you would a telephone receiver to better hear how you sound. (You may buy such a pipe in the plumbing-supplies section of a hardware store.)

á        Record yourself with an MP3 player, a cell phone or a camcorder and review it repeatedly, comparing it with the film.
