6. MMM Instrumentation

Over the past several years, a number of instruments have been developed by MMM or in collaboration with other divisions, universities or agencies. These instruments are generally developed to advance the research goals of specific scientists, but once operational, they either become part of the overall suite of instruments available through NCAR or remain available through direct collaboration with the principal investigator who developed the instrument.

Among the instruments developed are:

  • Intermittent Sampler

  • Video Ice Particle Sampler

  • Balloon-borne Ice Crystal Replicator

  • 2D-charge Instrument

  • Airborne Infrared (IR) Video Camera.
